The 2010 Nevada Union Junior Miner Board of Directors are in place and we are working very hard to prepare our organization for the 2010 season.

All of our board members have been involved in the program for several years and are dedicated to providing support for the program and creating a fun and constructive environment for Nevada County’s boys and girls to play football and cheerlead. In addition to this group, we have great coordinators for our snack shack and supportive parents. We are also looking forward to more volunteers to assist in volunteer coordination, fundraising, sponsorships as well as our team parents and coaches. We are aiming to teach the skills of football and cheerleading while implementing the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, courage, loyalty and respect for oneself and others.

We will be accepting football and cheer coaching applications at all three sign-ups. Please look for detailed information on 2010 registration for football and cheer in the coming weeks. We are looking forward to a great 2010 season.

Equipment hand-outs for football players are Saturday, July 10th at the Litton Trailer, 10-1 as well as a reminder that practice starts Monday, July 19th, 6-8 pm at Scotten School. Kids must have a completed physical in order to practice.
